Where to Visit For a Non-Life-Threatening Emergency

HMC operates seven Emergency Departments across its hospital network. These Emergency Departments are designed to care for patients with critical, emergency medical conditions. Patients presenting at an emergency department at HMC are triaged on arrival to determine the severity of their condition. This allows the emergency teams to prioritize those patients with the most serious conditions.

*Sidra Medicine: Pediatric Emergency Department: ‘The Sidra Medicine Children’s Emergency Department treats both emergency and urgent care cases. Children are first triaged to assess whether the condition is an emergency or one that requires urgent care. There is no cost to the patient for emergency care. However, if the child requires urgent care, then parents have a choice to seek treatment at Sidra Medicine where they will be asked to pay for the treatment of urgent conditions.
